Make the Cut: Greenwood Businesses Join Together in support of idea`09 Summer Camp

Despite an unusually dry economic climate, Greenwood businesses are putting their green thumbs up to growing arts programming for youth, teens & families this summer. On consecutive Mondays, July 13th & 20th from 4pm-9pm, the Steven Cole Salon at 8408 Greeenwood Ave. N., will facilitate "Make The Cut," a creative benefit event involving over fifteen Greenwood businesses, art exhibitions, silent auctions and services by Steve Cole Salon and Greenwood Academy of Hair at 8501 Greenwood Ave. N.

Funding raised by Make the Cut will directly support idea`09 programming costs, youth scholarships, and the construction of the camp's new 25 foot greenhouse, educational garden and bicycle studio. Hair cuts, highlights, color, brow arches, skin care*, and other preferred services will be provided at cost with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the new idea`09 summer arts camp at The North Seattle Boys & Girls Club. The event will also include door prizes, hors d'oeuvers compliments of Olive You & The Upper Crust, a youth photography exhibition at The Green Bean Coffee House, as well as a silent auction featuring art and photography by local artists, and gift certificates for neighborhood restaurants and shops.
