2nd Annual Snowmen on Parade in Greenwood-Phinney!

The Snowmen (and women) are in Greenwood-Phinney and the kick-off started Friday, November 13th for the November monthly art walk. All snowmen will be auctioned off and proceeds will benefit the N. Seattle Boys & Girls Club located in Greenwood. All artists involved donated their time and supplies to create these wonderful holiday indoor/outdoor decorative snowpeople.

You're Invited to the Snowmen Auction on Friday, December 11th from 6-8pm at SPACE: A Design Build Collective! Don't miss your chance to take one of these unique and beautifully crafted snowmen home with you that evening. Bidding starts promptely at 6pm.

About the Snowman: I was inspired by Charlie Brown’s memorable, sad, sweet Christmas tree. This is something deeply sad and hopeful about his tree that really resonates with me and reflects the spirit of the holiday season and the human condition. Created with white primer paint and black gouache.
About the Artist: I received my BA in Visual Art from Seattle University and am currently finishing my MA in Art Therapy at Antioch University Seattle. I’ve shown my artwork at the Rosebud, the Hideout, the Vera Project Art Gallery, Urban Light Studios and the Pioneer Square Art Walk. Currently my work is showing at the Starbucks in Magnolia (33rd and McGraw) through the end of November.

About the Snowman: As an interior decorator with an eco-friendly focus, I am conscious that not everyone likes traditional red and green holiday decor themes, and I am mindful of using products in various shades of green such as having multiple uses and containing recycled, repurposed and nontoxic materials. Initially, I designed Mr. Snoman to fit a black, silver and white theme. However, his recycled material scarf and hat are removable, to allow for flexibility of one's color theme. Created with non-toxic acrylic craft paint, recycled buttons and fabric, and a dried plant stem.
About the Artist: Amy has been creative all her life in one way or another, with particular passions for helping others, interior decorating, love, and the environment.
